What is International Women’s Day?
On March 8th, 1911 is when the first International Women’s Day was established. The purpose of this day is to 1 - Celebrate women's achievement. 2 - Raise awareness against bias. 3 - Take action for equality.
The theme for 2019 is “A balanced world is a better world.”
1 - Celebrate women's achievement.

2 - Raise awareness against bias.
For me, I like to support women who are breaking stereotypes and motivating others to do the same. Like, Anna Boden, the director and screenwriter for CAPTAIN MARVEL which releases on March 8th...International Women’s Day… coincidence? I think not.
We now have many female superHERoes on TV and the big screen.
(There was a time the entertainment industry thought action shows and comic book based movies were only for men.)
